EXPERIENCE
LEO BURNETT, Sept 2016 - Present
Copywriter
-
For the first several years of my career I served as the sole writer on the Certified Service retail team, creating all necessary copy for Buick, Cadillac, and GMC Certified Service retail deliverables, including printed point of sale, social media, Pandora radio spots, and OLA banners.
-
I'm now one of my team's most experienced writers, and have moved on to more brand-centric projects for Certified Service, ACDelco, Chevrolet Performance, GM Genuine Parts, and GM Customer Care and Aftersales, ranging from site to social to video and more.
-
Most recently, my primary focus is on GM's technician recruitment initiative, a multifaceted campaign for which I've collaborated with my partners to create brochures, posters, banners, site content, social, video, and more. This work won a Bronze Effie award for its effectiveness.
-
My partner and I are also regularly pulled for larger projects like campaign work; we've developed many scripts and concepts for brand and even super bowl commercial pitches.
-
I am a go-to writer for long form projects like site pages that need to be executed well very quickly.
BROGAN & PARTNERS, May – August 2015
Creative Intern
-
I was given sole responsibility for writing all social media content for two different clients. One of these clients, the Enough SAID Project, won Best in Show at the D Show Awards.
-
I was responsible for researching and writing What Women Want, a bi-weekly eBlast that used current advertising examples to highlight effective tactics for marketing to women.
-
As a member of the internal content team, I wrote several marketing blog posts that were featured on the company website.
-
I regularly worked collaboratively to conceive and execute captivating social media ideas for various clients.
-
I served as an unofficial proofreader, editor, and grammar aficionado.
BROGAN & PARTNERS, May – August 2014

-
Throughout the summer, I researched and created a half-hour long video presentation detailing the entire history of the company for their 30th anniversary event.
-
I researched, wrote, and delivered a presentation to the agency about the potential of underutilized social media platforms.
-
I wrote several blog posts about marketing trends that were featured on the agency website.
-
I worked collaboratively to help create both print and digital media for clients such as The HoneyBaked Ham Company and the Michigan Department of Community Health.
